Located in the heart of Bugey Valromey in the Ain region, the Observatoire Planétarium du Valromey offers an exploration space that aims to strike the right balance between emotion, discovery and knowledge sharing.
With a diameter of 7 metres, this planetarium can accommodate 40 people in a circle, in reclining and rotating chairs.
Equipped with a high definition projector for total immersion, the public is invited to live an exceptional astronomical experience between dream and celestial curiosity.
Initially, the "typical" session will target a family audience. It offers a 30-minute film: "Lucia : the secret of shooting stars". Then a specialized animator takes over and projects the image of the celestial vault in which he can make constellations, planets, nebulae, galaxies and other deep sky objects appear... in the future, a more "adult" session will emerge.
14h session: From Earth to the Universe + Sun Observation
11am and 4:30pm session: Lucia: the secret of shooting stars + sky of the moment (family audience)
In addition to these irreplaceable pedagogical qualities, the planetarium also has the advantage of being functional even in bad weather. Air-conditioned place.
From 01/07 to 31/08/2019, daily at 11 am.
