Go back in time...
One of the oldest villages of Bugey will reveal many surprises... What other village can boast to have been both the holiday resort of Brillat-Savarin and a source of inspiration for Paul Claudel?
Following in the footsteps of Florence, a tour guide from the Tourist Office, you will discover Vieu, an important Gallo-Roman vicus of Valromey, concealing many architectural treasures from various eras: underground aqueduct, 11th century church, fountain and chapel of Adoue and manor house of the famous gastronome belleysan.
After the secret of the stones, you will continue your walk along the water to go up to the Source du Groin, a geological curiosity labelled as a Sensitive Natural Space of the Ain.
Accompanied by a nature guide from the Maison du marais, this small green setting will reveal all its treasures to you.
