Since the redesign of the permanent exhibition in 2015, the Maison d'Izieu offers many interactive contents and guided tours of the house and the permanent exhibition.

Dedicated to the memory of the 44 children and their 7 educators, the visit to the house focuses on the evocation of their lost presence through letters and drawings as well as portraits of the children. The permanent exhibition is divided into three distinct areas:
- the historical aspect "Why Jewish children in Izieu?",
- the judicial aspect "From Nuremberg to The Hague: judging criminals",
- the memory-related aspect "Memory and its construction".
Beyond being a place of memory of the Shoah, the Maison d'Izieu intends to contribute to the defence of dignity, rights and justice, and to the fight against all forms of intolerance and racism.

Visits accompanied by the mediators of the Maison d'Izieu are possible in French and on request in English, Italian, Spanish or Hebrew. Group visits by reservation only. Audio-guides available at the reception.
To extend your visit, a bookstore-boutique gives you access to many titles related to the history of the children of Izieu

The Maison d'Izieu is, along with the former Vélodrome d'Hiver and the former Gurs internment camp, one of three sites in the national memory of the victims of racist and anti-Semitic persecution and crimes against humanity committed with the complicity of the Vichy government known as the "French State Government" (1940-1944).
