2 screenings of the filmed concert "L'Affaire Brassens" at the theatre in Périgueux
The Arlequin cinema offers 2 previews of the filmed concert "L'Affaire Brassens"
Running time: 1 hour 40 minutes
The show begins with the voice of the very famous President of the "Tribunal des flagrants délires", Claude Villers.
The defendants, Patrick Descamps, Patrick Salinié, Jean Bonnefon and Jacques Gandon enter the stage, accused of continuing to spread Georges Brassens' "subversive songs" in the 21st century!
This is a scripted singing tour of Brassens' work, covering the various themes he tackled during his career: love, death, friendship, religion, poets, rebellion... So many subjects that inspired Brassens' brilliant and popular songs: Margot, les bancs publics, la supplique, l'auvergnat, les copains d'abord, Le temps ne fait rien à l'affaire, la Princesse et le croque-notes ...
With the experience of two previous shows, the musicians of the group approach the arrangements of the songs, with respect for the composition and harmony, while adding their personal touch: polyphony, swing...
The voice-over of President Villers leads the debates, but in the end the audience will be the only judge of the four accomplices. Guilty or not, they will have one hour and forty minutes to convince the audience.
