Arvière river

Natural watercourse with multiple waterfalls and geological curiosities, Summer labeled preserved and sensitive natural area in 2015.

Located in the east of the department of Ain, this river flows from the Grand Colombier Massif to the Groin river and then to the Séran, a direct tributary of the Rhône.

The Arvière spring is located at the foot of the Hergues summit (alt. 1426m) in the commune of Arvière-en-Valromey, near the Col de la Biche at an altitude of nearly 1220 m.

Labelled a "wild river site" in 2019, Arvière is a preserved river that has conserved its biodiversity and offers many emblematic landscapes of the department.
